2 Comfort Fit breast shields

The shield is the funnel-shaped part of the pump that fits around the breast and nipple. This part has a 90° opening angle that the breast fits into, and a tunnel that the nipple should be able to move freely through during pumping.

Breast milk is expressed through a pump using a suctioning motion. The shield should create a comfortable seal to create a vacuum and gently pull the nipple into the tunnel without injuring the breast or nipple. A well-fitting shield prevents the milk ducts from being compressed. It also supports optimal breast emptying and helps increase the amount of milk expressed. A poorly fitting shield restricts milk flow and leads to blockages and decreased milk production. Decreased pumping effectiveness can negatively impact a woman’s milk production.

The breast shields have a soft silicone edge for greater comfort while pumping.
