Pumping is often dismissed as the weakling of the breastfeeding class. Many women dread it. They see it as a 'hassle', as something you put off 'until there really is no other option'. And then I haven't even mentioned the comparison with that one animal , which I hear all too often. Honestly? That always breaks my midwife's heart a little (a lot).
Because as a healthcare professional and supporter of so many mothers during their breastfeeding story, I know that pumping has so many advantages . Only: if no one tells you about those advantages… then of course (and: especially) those persistent prejudices remain. And that is a shame. Because: pumping is also breastfeeding. Even more: it is often the pumping that ensures that mothers breastfeed for longer.
With this pump guide I want to let pumping shine too . Because it was about time!
