Book - From my milk - Sofie Verschueren

A book about breastfeeding? Yes, indeed! With three children, more than six years (and counting) of breastfeeding under her belt, two nominations as a breastfeeding advocate at Kind en Gezin and a great desire to write, Sofie Verschueren finally delivers her masterpiece. Her first time with a baby at the breast was a decade ago and those years have yielded some extra mildness and nuance, but above all more knowledge and experience.

This book aims to inform in the first place, so that both starting and stopping is always a conscious choice. It is certainly not a drop (of milk) on a hot plate, but it does want to help to eliminate all pain, regret and feelings of guilt. In Van mijn melk breastfeeding is also approached in a lighter way: Sofie steps into the minefield of (raising) children with a lot of humor and hopes to walk through it unscathed. This is not a story pro or con, it is simply a book about breastfeeding, of course reviewed by a lactation consultant. In short: inform, normalize and hopefully also a few good chuckles.
