Haakaa silicone feeding tube set

Many mothers and their babies experience feeding challenges, including difficulty latching on, low milk supply, or perhaps little ones needing a little extra nutrition or help learning to nurse. The Silicone Feeding Tube Set helps you overcome some of these common challenges by connecting a bottle of supplemented milk through a tube to your breast, providing a constant and controllable flow of milk to your baby at the breast. Using the silicone feeding tube allows both mother and baby to experience the natural physical sensation of breastfeeding, while encouraging mother to breastfeed and ensuring baby gets adequate nutrition.

Milk flow can be carefully controlled by adjusting the strength of your grip on the Gen. 3 baby bottle (sold separately) or by using the flow regulator for a more consistent rate. Our silicone feeding tube works seamlessly with our Haakaa Gen. 3 Silicone Baby Bottles and Variable Flow X-Shape Teat (sold separately), but can also be used with any other baby bottle fitted with a variable flow X-Shape Teat. Simply place the bottle in an elevated position higher than the end of the outlet tube to start the milk flow.

How to use:

Insert both the inlet and outlet tubes into the ends of the tube adapter. Insert the end of the outlet tube through the flow control.
Push the thick inlet tube down through the X-shaped opening on the Variable Flow Nipple and pull it through until it is long enough to reach the milk in the bottle. Attach the nipple to the bottle.
Place the end of the thin outlet hose 1-2 cm away from your nipple and secure the position with medical tape.
Introduce your baby to your nipple and gently place the thin tube in his mouth to begin feeding.
When using the Haakaa Gen. 3 baby bottle, squeeze the silicone bottle to control the flow of milk. Increase the pressure on the bottle to increase the speed at which the milk flows or decrease the pressure to slow the milk flow.
If you are using another baby bottle with a variable flow X-shaped nipple, simply place the bottle in an elevated position higher than the end of the outlet tube to start the milk flow.
You can also use the flow controller to regulate the speed of the milk flow and adjust it to your baby.
Cleaning and maintenance
Clean after each use. Use the included cleaning brush to scrub the inside of the tube before rinsing with hot water. For easier operation, run the brush through the tube near the handle and flush. We strongly recommend cleaning and sterilizing this product using a steam sterilizer or by boiling in water for 2-3 minutes. Do not use bleach-based cleaners or sterilizing tablets to clean this product. Do not use a UV sterilizer to clean this product as this may affect its lifespan.

NB:

Check the condition of the product before each use. Discontinue use immediately and replace if this product shows any signs of damage. Do not store near sharp objects. Although it may be compatible with other X-shaped teats, we recommend that this product is only used with a Haakaa Gen. 3 Variable Flow nipple. Smaller nipples may tear when inserting the tube. Only use soft brushes or soft sponges to clean this product, as harsh abrasive pads may scratch the surface. Exposure to detergent may cause the silicone in this product to appear cloudy. This product is not a toy. Do not use this product for anything other than its intended purpose. Store the product in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Adult supervision is required.
